Ghostwriting

"The Rise of Gold"
A certain nationally-known investment advisor was launching a newsletter on precious metal investing, and wanted (as a subscription premium) a book on the history of gold. I was hired as a ghostwriter.

Despite its sometimes dry material, the book had to be lively with lots of "oomph" (so the instructions said). See for yourself if I succeeded.

(rich text format) This chapter is about wars fought over gold, emphasizing the conquest of the Americas by the Spanish.
