I just got an email from a client who is “very excited” about the response they’re getting from their new website.

The site is only 9 days old. And they’re already being overwhelmed with the calls they’re getting.

In fact, I suggested several ways they could boost response even higher. And they weren’t interested.

They’re already too busy now… so why would they want even more response?

Note that this is occurring while the media tell us we’re in the worst economy since the Depression.

Lesson learned: The economy is irrelevant to your business.

Are times tougher now than before? Of course.

But as long as people are still buying what you sell, your business can be–and should be–flourishing.

The Internet has opened up powerful new marketing channels. You have dozens of new ways to communicate with your customers.

Not only that, most of your competitors don’t have a clue how to take advantage of it. They’re still paying big bucks for outdated advertising methods.

Now is the time to take a commanding position in your market. Even though business might be down in your market, you can still expand your sales. You just need a larger share of the market.

And that’s easy under current conditions. Your competitors are hunkering down and waiting until the recession is over. Most are decreasing their marketing efforts.

This leaves the market wide-open for you.

Even during the depths of a recession, you can flourish. And later, when the recession is over, you’ll be the dominant player in your market.

Don’t let the doom-and-gloom in the media affect you. With a good marketing writer on your side, you can make this year the best you’ve ever had.
